Computer Technician (ADP TECH)

DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Computer Technician performs maintenance of servers and workstation and other peripheral computer equipment.
  • Responsible for the inter accounts issued to the computers.
  • Configures each computer to comply with the network properties of the work group.
  • Perform preventive maintenance every week, trouble shooting and repair when workstation is down. Monitor daily operation of the workstation, ensuring optimum level of performance.
  • Log sheet monitoring, assistance to computer users with regards to web browsing computer application; installs and updates the operating environment, software applications, and anti-virus protection of the workstation and server.
  • Installation of new equipment such as new computers, printer, scanner, involves configuration of LAN connection.
  • Prepares requisitions and internet search for hardware and software (spare parts, software application) for Hometown Connection use, including computer supplies.
  • Generates reports memorandum essential doe the Hometown Connection operation. On call emergency repair for MWR computers located in different outlets (Library, Turner Club, CPO Club and Officer’s Club).
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must speak, read, and understand English language.
  • Knowledge in PC trouble shooting and repair.
  • Knowledge in LAN & WAN, TCP/IP protocols.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING

  • Adult First Aid, CPR and AED Training Certificate
  • Star Service Training Certificate

EDUCATION:

Graduate of any (4) years computer courses such as Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Technology and other related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in related field.

Basic terms of the job offer.

  • Assignment Duration: 12 months. Renewal subject to performance and project status.
  • Base Monthly Salary: 48 hours per week minimum work requirement: $510.00 (based on 48 hr. work week requirement)
  • Working schedule: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day/6 days a week)
  • Payroll period: Monthly. Amount give take home.
  • Overtime: Work more than 8 hours per day or work performed on a rest day and/or holiday,will be paid as overtime at the base salary rate.
  • Accommodations: Housing, transportation, meals in-country, and laundry facilities are provided
  • Sick Leave: Employee will accrue 2.67 hours of sick leave for each full month of service, beginning with the completion of the first full month of Foreign Service employment.
  • Annual leave Up to 21 days paid at the end of each 12-month contract.
  • Travel will be provided by the employer to the employee’s home country.
  • Project Holidays: 10 paid holidays. New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, President’s Day, Philippine Independence Day, USA Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Other requirements

  • Your Passport must be valid for at least 12 months, with at least 6 total blank visa pages remaining.
  • Your driver’s license must be valid for at least 6 months (unless processing for a CDL-required position, which will require 12 months remaining).
  • Updated covid vaccination certificate
